Dear Families,

Wow!  What an incredible week we had in first grade. ✨Our Magical Celebration

continued to be a big hit!  Ask your children to tell you about their favorite part

of this week.

Field trip Details:

🐨 Bring a sack lunch with disposable materials (paper sack, ziplock baggies, etc).

🦁 Your child can bring a reusable water bottle labeled with their name.

🐒 If you would like your child to wear sunscreen it must be applied prior to arriving at school.

Your child can also wear a hat :) We will be going rain or shine.

🐼 Please wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes. Kildeer shirts if possible!

🦎 Have a discussion with your child about making safe choices and staying with their chaperone

at all times.

🦒 We will leave promptly at 8:30 so please make sure your child arrives at school on time.

🐢Please DO NOT send your child with any money. Students cannot purchase anything on this trip.

Summer Practice

Your child can practice their math and reading skills over the summer. The Lexia and

Dreambox apps will be available! Your child will need to log in to Clever on a personal

device. Click here to  access some optional summer activities for your child.  Also the district has created

summer reading suggestions for incoming second graders.

Packing Up

Please send a large reusable shopping bag with your child to school on Tuesday. This will

be used to help students bring home their school materials and books.

Field Day!!

Next week is Field Day!  We will be playing games outside all morning.  Please have your

child dress according to the temperatures it will be that day.  Also please apply sunscreen

before they leave for school as we will get to playing right away.  Lastly, please pack a

water bottle with their name on it so they can travel with it to each activity and stay

hydrated.  Thank you!

Expected Behaviors

With the end of the year quickly approaching and excitement rising, students

have been needing more frequent reminders about expected behaviors.

Please review with your child about the Cougar 5 and expected behaviors at

school.  Daily Reminders in the morning will be very helpful.  We truly appreciate

your support!
